The summers are hot there, the winters mild and rainy. The mountainous east is rough and inaccessible. There is a continental climate with harsh winters and lots of snow. It can get very cold, especially in the north. The summers are warm with occasional heavy downpours. Tourism has not really discovered Albania yet. It is mainly limited to the cities.
