New Caledonia is Latin for Scotland – is a French island state and is located about 1200 kilometers east of Australia. The archipelago has a warm and slightly less warm period. Between December and April the temperature is around 30°C. From June to September it is slightly less than 25°C. The rainy season runs from January to April. The island is not very wet.
